Islamabad police officers began using cameras installed in uniforms.



Last year, it was decided to put a video camera on the uniforms of Islamabad police for which training was also given to the personnel.

In this connection, Federal Interior Minister Ijaz Shah met IG Islamabad Aamir Zulfiqar and gave a briefing about the camera mounted in the uniform of Islamabad policemen.

According to spokesman Islamabad police, the officers on the scene have started using cameras after the training, which will record conversations between the citizens and the police officer on duty.

The spokesperson said that the cameras installed on the uniform are capable of making video in the dark too, so the recorded video will be stored in the Zonal SP's office on a daily basis.

The spokesperson said that these cameras would be provided at all noses throughout the district soon, it may be possible to resolve complaints by citizens by installing cameras.
